Goodreads Synopsis:
A breathtaking journey toward self-discovery and true love, from the author of If I Stay
When sheltered American good girl Allyson "LuLu" Healey first meets laid-back Dutch actor Willem De Ruiter at an underground performance of Twelfth Night in England, there’s an undeniable spark. After just one day together, that spark bursts into a flame, or so it seems to Allyson, until the following morning, when she wakes up after a whirlwind day in Paris to discover that Willem has left. Over the next year, Allyson embarks on a journey to come to terms with the narrow confines of her life, and through Shakespeare, travel, and a quest for her almost-true-love, to break free of those confines.

My Thoughts:
Gayle brings us another heart breaking story of love, loss and finiding oneself under crazy circumstances. A story of being able to re-invent yourself and become who you want to be.

Just One Day was an extremely romantic read. Allyson and Willems adventure has such a lastic affect and transports you to a place of happiness. Can one day really change you? Can one unbelievable spontaneous adventure really re-define you?

I am totally in love with this book. Allyson has never done a crazy thing in her life but while on vacation in Europe she meets Willem and he changes her life forever. But when Willem leaves Allyson unexpectely she chalks it up to being a one night stand.

She goes back to her life but Willem never truly leaves her. A year later Allyson decides she needs answers and goes back to Paris to where it all began. Will she ever find the answers that she's looking for? Will she ever truly know what happened to Willem that day?

All throughout this book you cannot help but sit there and root for love. Even amongst the heart break you need for there to be a happy ending.

I adore the growth that Allyson goes through. She starts to live for herself. She is determined to start being happy even if that means she doesn't get Prince Charming in the end.

I loved this book. Gayle always sucks me into her stories and the emotion just pours off the pages. Once again Gayle has given me another book that I know I will read over and over.
